My First Flight Travel Experience

I got an opportunity to travel to Delhi from Chennai through airplane. It was an official trip. Me and my friends reached airport one and half before. After few minutes we all 6 girls went inside the airport by saying good bye to our parents.

It was the first time for me that I am going away from my parents and I am gonna live alone without them for one and half months. Though it is a very short period of time but it hurts a lot when I went inside the airport without them. My mom and my sis running parallel to me in the outside of the airport to say bye which made me so bad. It even made me to cry and I controlled and turned other side to see my friends and all others are also in the same stage of mine. Yes, we are all the kids from the family who pampered us till that time.

We took boarding passes with the help of Shivani, the only girl among us had the flight travel experience. After finishing the check in section we went for security check point, which is totally a different experience. Before boarding we had a session about do’s and dont’s in flight. The main thing they told was that the power bank is not allowed in baggage and the scissors knife and any sharp items is not allowed in hand luggage. But I kept my scissors in hand luggage mistakenly. They couldn’t find what was inside the bag and where it was, but they told that something which was not allowed in hand luggage is inside this bag. So we then took all the properties from the bag and filled and found one scissor we handed over to them itself. Then we went inside and waited for the announcement.

My feel at that time was totally different. I had a mixed feeling at that time, excitement, fear, happiness, sadness and I think every feel I got over that few hours of time. I can’t even understand what was going on in my mind about my travel. Finally we boarded the flight. How big it was! How many people are in that! Before starting itself I wondered just by seeing the flight. We soon find our places and sat and very fortunately I got a window seat.

We were ready and waiting for the take-off. Initially the flight went on the run way to the opposite side, till that time I was feeling like that I was sitting in a bus. Then finally it took an about turn and the speed increased exponentially. Within a few seconds we were high, up in the sky. The feel in my stomach was like that i was going up in a giant wheel with the high speed.You know what we were flying!!! My ears were humming initially when the plane increased the height, and to overcome that we heard a song in headphones in high volume.

The view when we up in the sky were greater than expected. That was the first time I saw the city like that. The roads seemed like bright lines, the houses and cars are seemed like toys. The view of the city was like what I saw in the Google maps. The rivers and roads were like snakes and the mountains were looked like small speed breaker. We were at the very height and obviously I forgot the height we were in. But I am very sure it was very high because even the clouds were below us. The thought which came at that time was that the ego, the head weight was gone, because at that time we were not even equivalent to a speck of dust. Then the flight is in the process of landing. Delhi! The very busy city. Even before landing we saw more vehicles on the road. Finally we landed in Delhi airport which was even bigger. It was the most memorable day of my life. Like bird I flied in the sky!!!
