My Hero

When I think about what my hero means to me, I realize most of my special memories and feelings towards my hero comes from the little things he does every day. My hero is not a celebrity or such a recognizable face. My hero is not a cine hero or multi-millionaire. He never saved me from the burning castle or an avalanche, but he hugs me daily and tells me to have a good day. He doesn’t buy me expensive cars or fancy accessories, but he buys everything what I deserve and what I desire.
What makes a person as a hero? When someone puts others will as a priority instead of their own will, when someone undergoes many sufferings and sacrifices themselves for others good without telling it to anyone. Like every other girls my dad is my first hero. No No No.. he is my super hero forever since I born in this world. He makes it as a priority that his family is well taken care of and is protected. He would swim in an ocean for his family.
My dad is a very perfect man. Many times I wondered that how one could be perfect at all the times. But he could. Still I can’t find the answer for that. He never forgets his things and he is very good at math. Even he studied only up to 12th std, his math standard was higher than that.

He was strict at times. When me and my sister were in school, he used to put covers to all of our books and notes and he always used to check our bags periodically to check whether the books were torn or not. If it so he doesn’t shout, a single look is enough for us to cry. He was so responsible for his family.
The main thing he taught us was to respect others and he lived as an example of that. He didn’t shout or he did not showed his anger to the elder people even if they did any wrong. When I started talking, unlike other parents he didn’t allowed me to call my sister by name, he wants me to call her by akka only.
When I was in school he was busy working, so that he gets leave occasionally. But whenever he get leave, he took me and my sister to the ice-cream parlour and bought us 5rs cup ice-cream. That ice cream was so special for us. Even 250rs ice cream of today can’t even buy that happiness when we got that 5rs ice cream from my dad.
The favorite dialog of him is “Nan padikira vishaythilum sapdura vishayathilum chellam kodukave matten da (I won’t give any favor in studies and food)”. My 12th std result doesn’t satisfies my dad so that I was disappointed by his response. When he comes to know that I was upset due to his response he immediately came from work and took me to the movie. So that is the first time we three watched the movie without my mom.
The love between my mom and dad was unconditional. Even the people who don’t like them will also accept this. I didn’t seen any love stories or I didn’t read any love stories like this. They were the perfect couple fulfilled by love. He doesn’t have any ego. If he know that the thing which he done was wrong, he never hesitated to say sorry. He always ready to listen us.
We three are his world in past, present and future. No one can say anything wrong about my dad. Everyone will say that he was so calm and kind in nature. He won’t hurt anyone. Sorry he can’t hurt anyone. He didn’t even speak louder. He doesn’t have any habits like smoking or drinking. He used to eat the betel leaves after eating non-veg, but my sister didn’t like that also and she told my dad only once to stop that. And that’s the last time he tasted that. He gave a big respect to all our words.
He always supported me in every aspects of my life. When I was in high school he got leave on every Sundays. And on every Sundays I had different competitions, he accompanied me and he will wait until the program gets over. For every Hindi exam I attended he always used to wait for me until exam finishes. He never discouraged me in anything. He always used to encourage me even when I scribble something and showed it to him.
The best compliment for a girl is that she looks like her dad. I am so lucky that I had that compliment for more number of times.
He is my super hero forever ever and ever….
