OverProtective Parents, Insecure Children

When most of today's parents learned to ride a bike, they just got on and started pedalling. That was it. Nowadays kids were taught differently: they get the bike and also the helmet, some elbow pads, knee pads, gloves etc., This is a very noble and positive mentality right? So, where is the problem? Every child needs their parent's protection against certain dangers they will encounter in their lives but when that protection becomes a bubble that isolates them from the majority of the things that happened in the outside world, then it becomes over protection. Over protective parents are those who are continuously trying to prevent their children from facing conflicts and situations that are distressing and painful. These parents are tend to be excessively cautious with their children and often feel overly responsible about what might happen to them. A Strong Independent Women

For me, being a strong independent women is not being single or married, not about having lots of money or status in your career - it is a state of mind . An interesting definition of an independent women I saw in the urban dictionary was that " A woman who pays her own bills, buys her own things, and doesn't feel she needs a man's approval. " This is true but that's not the only thing it means. Being a strong independent women can be confusing at times. The definition of a strong woman  supposedly is you should never show your weakness, while being an independent woman means you should be self reliable and usually you don't need anyone else to help you. But the reality is no one can be strong for 24/7 and no one can live totally independent of other people. A strong woman means she protects her joy, happiness and peace and takes care of her relationship with family and friends. She stands up for what is right even if she has to stand all by herself....
